Dr. Benny Tate

Dr. Benny Tate is originally from McMinnville, Tennessee. As a young Christian, he was mentored by his pastor, Rev. Clayton Jones. He is a graduate of Wesley College, Andersonville Theological College, and Covington Theological Seminary.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Tate has been the Senior Pastor of the Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church in Milner, Georgia, and Vice-President of the Congregational Methodist Denomination. The rapid growth (from 30 to more than 2000 members) of Rock Springs illustrates the effective ministerial style of Dr. Tate.

His passion is to challenge people to move to the next level of discipleship. He is in demand in the business world as a Christian motivational speaker to corporations such as Delta, Gold Kist, Chick-fil-A and Service Master.

In spite of his busy schedule, Dr. Tate or “Brother Benny”, as he is affectionately known, enjoys both politics and sports. In the political arena, Dr. Tate has served many times as the Chaplain for the Day in the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia Senate. He also has been Chaplain for the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Even though he is an avid Tennessee and Georgia Tech fan, he has survived here in "Dog Country”.

Dr. Tate has many avenues of ministry from the church and corporate pulpits to the airways. He has been featured on numerous programs for the TBN and Daystar Television Networks and he is host of the Apples of Gold radio program. In addition to speaking he is also a prolific writer and his titles represent his lively and humorous ministry style. Some of his books are:

One More Night With The Frogs
Happy Wife, Happy Life
When You Follow a Star and Find a Stable

He has been married to Barbara for more than twenty years. They have one daughter and reside in Milner, GA.
