Dr. Phil Speas

Indian Springs welcomes Dr. Phil Speas in his first preaching engagement at Indian Springs. He is President of the Kentucky Mountain Bible College (KMBC).

He graduated from Kentucky Mountain Bible College in 1979; from Vennard College in 1980 and from Wesley Biblical Seminary in 1989.

He began his career as a pastor in Marlyand, Pennsylvania and Iowa. He has always been affiliated with institutions that have embraced scriptural holiness in both heart and life. In 1993, he returned to his alma mater, Kentucky Mountain Bible College (KMBC) to serve as President.

He loves being involved at KMBC and preparing students for careers in ministry. KMBC is committed to prepare men and women to serve today's world, living and communicating the Word of God. Located in beautiful, rural Kentucky, this fine Bible college holds a strong spiritual focus, has a caring family atmosphere and maintains high academic standards while being very affordable.

Dr. Speas is known as a ‘sharp deal maker’ in saving money and bargaining for supplies for the college. Presently, he is overseeing the Helen Mathews Luce Memorial Chapel which is scheduled for completion soon.

Dr. Speas has the heart for hospitality. He enjoys entertaining students, staff and work team members and staff. On quiet moments, he likes to fish and work in the College’s woodworking shop.

He and his Bible College sweetheart, Wanda, have four children. They live in Vancleve, Kentucky, on the KMBC campus.
